Smooth legs? how do I get smooth smooth legs like mannequin smooth legs? what products do i use? |
I do this and it works great. It gives me a great glow and super smooth skin. I dry brush once every day and then on shower days after my shower I apply a nice natural body lotion or butter. (I use burts bees.)
What is a Dry Brush Exfoliation?
A dry brush exfoliation involves the use of a soft, dry brush to gently brush the skin. It is recommended by holistic practitioners to remove dead skin cells, improve the circulation of blood and lymph, and enhance detoxification through skin. The gentle pressure is also thought to have a calming effect.
How is Dry Brush Exfoliation Done?
The only tool needed is a soft, dry, skin brush, preferably with natural bristles.
Step 1
Stand in the shower with the water off.
Step 2
Starting at your feet, start brushing in small circles towards your heart. Apply very light pressure, avoiding broken skin, skin rashes, or areas where the skin is thin, such as the face or inner thighs.
Step 3
After you've finished both legs, move on to your arms. Brush from your fingertips, again towards your heart.
Step 4
Reach around and brush from your back towards your stomach.
Step 5
When you are finished, begin showering.

The Benefits Of Dry Skin Brushing
• Dry skin brushing helps to shed dead skin cells, which can help improve skin texture and cell renewal.
• Dry skin brushing increases circulation to skin, encouraging your body’s discharge of metabolic wastes, which greatly aids the lymphatic drainage of the entire body. When the body rids itself of toxins, it is able to run more efficiently in all areas.
• Dry skin brushing also helps to tighten the skin because it increases the flow of blood. Increasing the circulation to the skin can also help lessen the appearance of cellulite.
• Dry skin brushing stimulates the lymph canals to drain toxic mucoid matter into the colon, thereby purifying the entire system. This enables the lymph to perform its house-cleaning duties by keeping the blood and other vital tissues detoxified. After several days of dry brushing, you may notice the gelatinous mucoid material in your stools.
• Dry skin brushing helps with muscle tone and more even distribution of fat deposits.
• Dry skin brushing also rejuvenates the nervous system by stimulating nerve endings in the skin.
• Dry skin brushing helps your skin to absorb nutrients by eliminating clogged pores. Healthy, breathing skin contributes to overall body health.
• Individuals who sit at a computer screen all day long will particularly take pleasure in the benefits of skin brushing. People who have inactive lifestyles or jobs usually experience stiff and sore necks and shoulders that reach even into their arms and down their spines and into their lower backs. Increased blood flow begins entering the areas brushed and you will experience an increase in electromagnetic energy that permits you to feel energized and invigorated.
• LADIES—Cellulite is toxic. Cellulite is toxic materials that are accumulated in your body’s fat cells as they are unable to be eliminated. So, rather than liposuction surgery, how about utilizing the “dry skin brushing” techniques coupled with an alkaline diet program and a great exercising routine. It will break down the unwelcome toxic body deposits and send them scurrying out of your body through the elimination channels we discussed above.
This site has some nice, cheap, natural bristle dry brushes.

Smooth legs? what is the best way to get smooth hairless legs? Don't tell me things like laser removal cuz i ain't rich. thanks i appreciate it. |
| i use skintimate like every day when i shave. it helps a lot, but after i get out of the shower, i use bath and body works lay it on thick lotion and my legs are always sooo smooth and soft!! |
Smooth Legs? Hi I was just wondering what the best way to keep your legs smooth by removing the root of the hair like waxing. However, I don't want to wax because for one thing I hate having to wait for my hairs on my legs to grow and also it is a hassle to go out and get it done. I would prefer to do it in the privacy of my house. I don't want to shave because the hairs grow back so quick. Any ideas would be very helpful. Thankyou. p.s I am willing to buy an epilator if that works well and pulls the hair out from the root. I am willing to go through a bit of pain. Also, if epilators work well which model is the best. Thankyou for all your help. |
Hiar creams are messier than shaving and I find it takes longer plus I dont think the results last any longer with creams, regrowth is pretty much the same as with shaving.
I use the Braun silk-epil epilator, only got it a few months back but defo the best purchase I've made after spending years messing about with razors and creams. It comes with an ice pack which you can put in the freezer and use to numb the skin beforehand but I've found that I no longer need this - your skin gets used to the sensation of it, same as how it gets easier/less sore to pluck your eyebrows after first few times.
Its not as sore as you'd think and after the first use if you keep using it regularly there will be less hair to remove each time and mine has already started growing back much finer making maintaining it much quicker and easier.
Ok to use on underarms and bikini line too, but best to trim it first so the hairs are a bit shorter, the Braun Silk-epil one comes with a trimmer to let you do this.
It also comes with a variety of heads, I'm now using the one with lots of tweezer bits as opposed to the starter one, the starter head has less tweezer bits so supposedly hurts less for first time users but you just end up going over the same bit over and over with this - the main head you only need to go over once or twice and all the hairs go - less painful and quicker in the long run.
Hope that helps!

How to get silky smooth legs after shaving? After I shave my legs they always go really horrible and dry and sometimes I get like a horrible bumpy rash on my thighs. They don't go smooth even if moisturise after.
Any tips? |
| massage in baby oil on your legs when they're wet and pat dry with a towel. I do this to my whole body and my skin feels much softer. You can also try adding baby oil to your lotion and rubbing it on your legs. |
How do I keeo my legs smooth and looking nice? My legs are always dry and i put lotion on them all the time, + all my friends have smooth legs and they don't have that spotted look after shaving, they look like your legs when you have nylons over them, what are some good ways to make your legs look nicer. |
| shave with hair conditioner...it really works!! |
How can i make my legs really smooth? My best friend has the smoothest legs, and doesnt use any certain sort of soap or anything. How can i make my legs really smooth? |
| exfoliate |
How do I get smooth and even toned legs? My lower legs look somewhat scaly at times and my thighs are bumpy with what seems to be hair bumps. I exfoliate often and put lotion on everyday and it doesn't seem to get any better. Does anyone know a way for me to get silky smooth legs? |
| Excessive exfoliation can actually cause the scaliness. Be kind to your skin, and don't irritate it! You may also be allergic to your lotion- find one without fragrance, and ingredients such as shea butter and aloe. The bumps, called ingrown hairs, can be caused by tight clothing. Another cause could be shaving, if you are pressing too hard or using a dull blade. Let the hair grow out a bit, and then get a professional waxing. By removing the roots of the hair, it will eliminate ingrown hairs and give your skin a chance to heal. |
How can I have silky smooth legs after shaving? My friend, after shaving, always has THE softest legs. They're like perfect silk smooth. And its like that for more than a day. How can I do that? Any specific razors, shaving creams, or lotions? My legs are always picky the next day. How can I make it stay away longer and make my leg smoother? |
| Kiehl's has a mens shaving cream that I LOVE in a dark blu tube called Close Shavers. The menthol in it stimulates the hair follicle to bring the hair up closer to the surface thus giiving you a smooth longer-lasting shave. I follow up with Kiehl's Creme de Corps body butter which is awesome because it hydrates for 24 hrs!! This combo works great for me you should def try it :) |
How to make legs and other skin smooth? I really want smooth legs. I get irritated razor bumps and my knees are kinda rough. My stomach also has little bumps...what product can I use to make my skin nice and smooth?? And maybe even have like a shine, but no glitter or sparkles just very healthy looking skin? |
| put baby oil on your legs first before you put the shaving cream on. it works really to prevent irritation. and try to use a cream with aloe in it. |
After shaving smooth legs but can see pores? My legs feel smooth and all after shaving, but my legs don't look smooth; you can see where my hair follicles are because they're almost like little circles
Is there something wrong with the way i'm shaving? |
| i think i know what you're talking about. your skin is smooth but it appears to have red marks? like where the hair grows from? have you always had this? are the little circles always there? i have this also, i've had it my whole life. or actually it kind of occurred when i was beginning my teenage years. yay puberty. i've been to dermatologists and its a skin condition. there's nothing to be done about it. you can reduce the appearance by using lotion on it frequently. helping to keep the skin hydrated, with water based lotions, not just moisturizers. i use these oils from the health food market whatever called castor oil and aura oil. they seem to help the appearance. i also found that letting your bare legs breathe in the open air helps them a lot too. it will never fully go away but you can make it just a bit less noticeable. your hair follicles are just closer to the skins surface than most peoples. a lot of people actually have this. they usually also have bumps on the back of their arms too, like rough skin. if i remember correctly its in some relation. but i dont know if this is exactly what you have, hit up a dermatologist. |
